Blendtec Smoother Series -20 AMPS

Making a smoothie with the 20 AMP blender (2.4kW power supply) takes less than 15 seconds. You can make snow out of ice cubes in a 64 oz container in less than 5 seconds. Blending avocado seeds (a 64 oz jar full) will take about 30 seconds or less. (Not that we really recommend consuming avocado seeds).
The electronic keypad design features 30 different pre-programmed blending cycles, ready to make drinks, smoothies, paste, pate, puree, and ice cream.
The LCD back-lit screen shows which program the blending operation is in. The blender brains also record the blending cycles used, which then are seen on the LCD.
By lifting up the sound enclosure door to the top, you can insert the filled container. The lid fits snug onto the blender jar and is held down by closing the 1/2 " thick plexi glass sound enclosure.
You can even make custom programs. A pre-entered blending cycle program features for example 5 seconds of slow start-up and commences in fast for 15 seconds with 3 second medium speed intervals every 4 seconds. This will help the blades grab hold of the ingredients for improved blending quality.

Why do you want to buy the 20 AMP over the 18 AMP Blendtec Smoother?
The 20 AMP ICB7 has more power yield and torque at hand all the way until there is no more power available at 2.4kW/h electricity. This allows this motor yield all the way in 3.5 hp related speed at about 260 MPH or more. You need this extra power to mend and blend through ingredients placed into the 96 oz (3 liters) jar / container with the 4 inch blade that would otherwise not be blended as well. You will need a 20 AMP circuit and/or an adapter cord as recommended by your electrician.
Why do you want to buy the 18 AMP blender over the 20 AMP Blendtec Smoother?
The 18 AMP Blendtec ICB5 smoother still has a 3.5 hp motor. However, it only offers a power supply with 2.0 kW/h and 18 amps. This creates a motor break / throttle, thus preventing the motor every from going higher than 2.0kW consumption /electricity for its ultimate speed. You can still blend and mend ingredients in a 96oz container, but the motor won't likely be strong enough to turn the 4" inch blade without overheating and/or flipping the circuit breaker switch. If you don't have the 20 amp circuit switch / breaker as required for the 20 amp Smoother, the 18 AMP delivers a great alternative to break-down your raw smoothie ingredients, next to the 20 AMP ICB7. Just make sure you use no container bigger than the 96oz with the 3 inch blade.
Why do you want to buy the 13 AMP blender over the 15 AMP, or the 15 AMP over the 18 AMP, and 20 AMP blender?
If you want to save purchasing $ money, and torque of the beginning motor speed and power of a 3.5 hp motor up to 1500 watts (13 amp), the 1800 watts (15 amp), or the 2000 watts (18 Amps) is sufficient, you still have sufficient power, you have extra money to buy more containers, or other items, storage pins and smoothie ingredients. Money is the key in every case. If you have the budget of $ 1500, then you might even consider the purchase of the 20 AMP Smoother with 4 96oz jars with 4 inch blades and have the blender installed permanently into your counter top to save space.
Beware of After-Market ICB7 20 AMP blenders such as the Symbiotic blender. You can save money, but you can never add a sound enclosure that would fit.
